30 x 40 inches. Oil on canvas. Fall 1999. After the heart breaking experience of hooking, but not catching, my very first Yellowfin Tuna, I painted what I could remember about seeing that fish fight on my line next to the boat. The speed of the fish racing through the water like a torpedo was incredible and the ripples of the waves made the tuna seem to move in fractures through the water. This was also the very first painting I ever sold. I painted it while being the artist at Cafe Tu Tu Tango in Coconut Grove, Fl.
