During my visit to Vience, Italy, I wondered the streets restlessly at night and found it to be the most romantic place I had ever been. Every walk way that night was coated in fog and alluring, so I decided to sit in a boat and draw the view in front of me. At the time, I was studying perspective from great works of art and remembered how some artists would use perspective to include the viewer in the painting, so you could be in the same place the artist was. I wanted the viewer to be me for a moment and see what I saw that night. Pencil on paper, 14 x 11 inches.
